Job Summary
Interpret business requirements to guide the design of integrated solutions and create a well-informed cloud strategy for multi-geo-enterprise systems. Develop and organize cloud systems for geo-cloud instances while working closely with IT security to monitor privacy and support the company's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification. Lead architecture design for integrated solutions across Data, Infrastructure, Process, and Service domains, coaching Solution SMEs, Business Analysts, and Test Leads through delivery cycles. Ensure applicable standards are adhered to in design and documentation while managing adaption processes for cloud service patterns and approval plans. This role supports Rolls-Royce's mission to provide critical power and safety, requiring full-time remote work with 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Associate degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Cloud Computing, with 10+ years of cloud engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Cloud Computing, with 8+ years of cloud engineering experience
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Cloud Computing, with 6+ years of cloud engineering experience
- PhD in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Cloud Computing, with 3+ years of cloud engineering experience
- 12+ years of experience in cloud computing (in lieu of a degree)
- 5+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions
- 3+ years of experience with one or more application development languages used in cloud application today (Java, .Net, Python, PHP...)
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps tools (GitHub, ADO...)
- NIST/CMMC experience
- Experience with cloud computing technologies and current computing trends across multiple offerings (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Oracle, ...)
- TOGAF or similar qualification in IT Architecture
- Demonstrable technical leadership of complex technical and/or professional work activities, including the analysis of designs, delivery options and plans
- Experience with standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism and can make appropriate choices from alternatives
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
