Job Summary
Architect and implement end-to-end IoT telemetry platforms, managing MQTT Broker clusters for device connectivity and building Kafka-based streaming pipelines to process 100k–200k messages per second. Lead Python consumer development for data validation, enrichment, and storage into TimescaleDB with Redis caching, while designing Django REST APIs and WebSocket gateways for real-time dashboards. Oversee Kubernetes deployments with auto-scaling, Helm, and full observability stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/Opensearch. Ensure security-first design using mTLS, OAuth2/OIDC, and Cloud KMS/HSM for secrets management. Drive capacity planning, data modeling, and performance optimization to maintain sub-second latency for millions of connected solar inverters and edge devices.
Required Qualifications
- MQTT Broker (EMQX/VerneMQ) clusters for device connectivity and secure telemetry ingestion
- Kafka-based streaming pipeline for durable, partitioned message processing at 100k–200k msg/sec scale
- Python (FastAPI/Django) consumers for validation, enrichment, and storage into TimescaleDB (Postgres) with Redis for low-latency caching
- Django REST Framework APIs and WebSocket gateways for real-time dashboards and control command flows
- Kubernetes-based deployment with auto scaling, Helm, and observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Opensearch)
- Security-first design using mTLS, OAuth2/OIDC (Keycloak), and Cloud KMS/HSM for secrets
- Experience with large-scale messaging systems
- Experience with distributed databases
- Experience with time-series optimization
