Job Summary
Develop high-quality, scalable backend applications for complex Insurance products across multiple Grab apps by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code to solve challenging InsurTech problems. Collaborate with diverse teams to design and ship new features while participating in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction, utilizing expertise in Golang, Java, relational databases, and cloud platforms like AWS to troubleshoot and debug complex issues. Participate in On-Call rotations to ensure service reliability. Report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance, based in Indonesia, with a focus on enabling financial inclusion for underserved partners in Southeast Asia.
Required Qualifications
- Years of relevant experience in software development
- Proficiency in one of the major programming languages, e.g., Golang (preferred) and Java
- Relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Code versioning systems like Git
- Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- Capability to recognise when to use algorithms and data structures
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, e.g., AWS
- Experience with the clean architecture principles
- Ability to write extensible code for complex projects following SOLID principles
- Expertise in writing clean, efficient, maintainable code and documentations
