Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer/Verification Engineer

Job Summary

Define and own the QA strategy, quality roadmap, processes, standards, and operating model from the ground up. Build and implement formal QA processes covering manual and automated testing, while designing, implementing, and scaling automated test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios. Integrate these tests into CI/CD pipelines and perform functional, exploratory, regression, integration, performance, and accessibility testing using risk-based prioritization. Lead user acceptance testing, guide release-readiness decisions, and manage defects through their full lifecycle. Mentor QA engineers, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering
  • Proven experience creating a software quality process and QA strategy from scratch
  • Experience building, mentoring, or helping scale a software quality team
  • Strong experience designing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability
  • Hands-on experience with Application Programming Interface (API) testing using tools such as Postman and automated Application Programming Interface (API) testing frameworks
  • Experience designing or extending automated test frameworks and writing automated tests
  • Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent
  • Experience integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience with functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Experience with performance, accessibility, mobile, cross-browser, and compatibility testing
  • Experience leading user acceptance testing and supporting release decisions
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Intermediate English proficiency (B2 or higher), with the ability to participate in technical discussions with international teams

Desired Qualifications

  • International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) Foundation Level certification or higher
  • Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr
  • Experience testing REST or GraphQL Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and microservices
  • Exposure to reliability, resilience, or scalability testing
