Job Summary
Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for complex RegTech workflows, including onboarding, transactions, and compliance rules. Build and maintain API and UI automation frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines while reducing the existing test backlog. Diagnose failures using logs and source code, write SQL queries for data validation, and produce reproducible defect reports with risk assessments. Define release readiness criteria, establish quality metrics dashboards, and enforce audit-defensible testing practices to support regulatory expectations. Coordinate UAT with stakeholders and promote a shift-left mindset within the engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Software Quality Assurance
- Proven hands-on experience testing web applications and REST APIs
- Hands-on exposure to Azure-based environments
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, backlog-heavy environments
- Test planning, case design, defect lifecycle management
- Postman or equivalent for API testing, REST validation, schema & response checks
- SQL / T-SQL for backend and data integrity validation
- Hands-on experience with at least one framework (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
- Familiarity with pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Basic load and performance testing knowledge
- Understanding of access control, data isolation, PII handling
- Comfortable reading logs and basic source code to diagnose issues
- JIRA (or equivalent)
- Git basics
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS platforms (FinTech / RegTech / Banking strongly preferred)
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures
- Exposure to AML / KYC / regulatory compliance workflows
- ISTQB certification (practical experience matters more)
- Experience working with distributed or international teams
