Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer role leading a 4-6 person development team to design, implement, and evolve production-grade applications using Python, Django, and FastAPI. Build and optimize data models in PostgreSQL, perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Collaborate on architecture, deliver high-quality software 24/7 operation, and embrace AI tooling (Claude Code) as part of the daily workflow. The role requires on-site presence in Oud Gastel with a hybrid work pattern and strong communication in English (Dutch a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in software engineering with leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of Python, Django, and/or FastAPI
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to lead a team and coach developers
- Willingness to work on-site in Oud Gastel (4 days in the office, 1 day remote)
- Excellent English communication; Dutch a plus
