Job Summary
Lead the design, development, test, debugging, and maintenance of embedded software integrated into specialized devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards. Translate complex customer requirements into effective software designs, oversee code reviews, and lead the integration of embedded software with hardware components. Analyze and improve the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems while researching and implementing emerging technologies, tools, and regulatory changes. Advise on software and hardware integration domains and track internal and supplier team performance to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards. Manage embedded software project functions and coordinate with internal and supplier teams. This role supports Boeing Defense, Space & Security Air Dominance programs, developing solutions that monitor and predict aircraft health to enable smarter maintenance and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires
- U.S. Citizenship
- 9+ years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software (C, C++)
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- 2+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Software Containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD (JIRA, Gitlab, Ansible, & Artifactory)
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (UML, SysML, Cameo, MSOSA)
- Experience with Automated Testing
- CodeVue Coding Challenge: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process
Desired Qualifications
- Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 9+ years of related work experience
- 13+ years of directly related work experience
- 17+ years of related, relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile product development environment
- Secret Clearance is a plus
