Job Summary
Lead the design, development, test, debugging, and maintenance of embedded software integrated into specialized devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards. Translate complex customer requirements into effective software designs, oversee code reviews, and drive system integration while improving software efficiency and stability. Manage the full lifecycle of embedded software projects, including coordination with internal and supplier teams to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards. Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, and regulatory changes to advance product performance. This role supports Boeing Defense, Space & Security Air Dominance programs, developing solutions that monitor and predict aircraft health to enable smarter maintenance decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires
- U.S. Citizenship
- 9+ years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software (C, C++)
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile product development environment
- Secret Clearance is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry
- Experience with Linux, Software Containers (Docker and Kubernetes), CI/CD (JIRA, Gitlab, Ansible, & Artifactory), Model Based Systems Engineering (UML, SysML, Cameo, MSOSA), and Automated Testing
