Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer at Unblocked, you will architect, build, and scale core systems that power the company, working on data pipelines and third-party integrations. You'll collaborate with product designers and developers to deliver user-friendly experiences, and partner with DevOps and security teams to ensure system resilience. Required skills include expertise in modern programming languages, experience with microservices, and a strong foundation in building reliable systems. You will also lead team members in project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level software development skills in a modern typesafe development language (Kotlin, TS, Python)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience building well-tested, scalable, fault-tolerant systems
- Experience working with APIs and REST-ful services
- Familiarity with a Cloud Platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Demonstrated leadership of fellow team members in the delivery of a project
- Experience collaborating with DevOps teams
Additional Requirements
- Based in Vancouver, British Columbia (and be in the office 4 days a week)
