Job Summary
Lead the development of complex frontend features using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and HTML, translating ambiguous product requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. Own end-to-end delivery from design through production rollout while driving improvements in UI architecture, application performance, and user experience. Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and collaborate on BFF and API-layer modifications to support seamless functionality. Write high-quality, well-tested code, lead code reviews, and establish standards for component design and state management. Break down complex technical problems, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders. Debug production issues and drive improvements in monitoring and logging to ensure application reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript in production environments
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and component-driven development
- Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance web applications
- Strong understanding of browser internals, rendering behavior, and performance optimization
- Experience with frontend testing strategies and frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, and React Testing Library
- Proficiency with modern frontend tooling and build systems
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across development and production environments
- Experience working with REST APIs and distributed systems
- Working knowledge of backend concepts, including: REST APIs, Request and response flows, Authentication, Error handling, Data contracts
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with design systems or shared component libraries
- Exposure to frontend observability and performance monitoring tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based architectures
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation best practices
- Experience contributing to cross-team frontend standards or platform initiatives
- Hands-on experience building lightweight API layers, backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns, or service integration layers
