Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer responsible for independently developing, refactoring, testing, deploying, and maintaining production applications. Participates in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring. Mentors junior engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure user stories are valuable and developer-ready. Requires delivering code with a clear business value, building and expanding test suites, and contributing to agile processes. Proficient in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript), one or more OO languages (preferably Java), database technologies (relational or NoSQL), cloud computing, CI/CD, and security considerations. Demonstrated ability to write and execute unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests; strong debugging and root cause analysis skills; experience with version control and modern software design patterns; effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams; and a global perspective with a drive to deliver results. Location indicates remote work in the US. The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree. Travel is not required. California/Colorado/NY pay ranges are noted for specific locales but the position is described as fully remote within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Experience with front end technology such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript frameworks
- Object-oriented programming language experience (preferably Java)
- Relational or NoSQL database experience
- Cloud computing techniques
- CI/CD tools
- Security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
- Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests
- Experience with debugging and root cause analysis techniques
- Version control experience
