Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer on the Bench Infrastructure team responsible for hardware-in-the-loop test execution services and tooling to support high-velocity code validation for autonomous driving software. Design and implement software to improve usability and supportability of test infrastructure, deliver streamlined tools to minimize friction for engineers building and testing autonomy software, identify and resolve stability and security issues across the stack, leverage performance metrics to remove inefficiencies, enhance scheduling for throughput and urgent jobs, maintain reliable test logic across diverse hardware configurations, and act as a technical bridge between Autonomy Software Engineering, IT, and Operations to resolve cross-functional pain points with scalable solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years, or PhD)
- Strong communication, problem solving, task prioritization and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Python programming language
- Ability to navigate a large codebase and learn other languages/technologies
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications at scale in a Kubernetes-orchestrated production environment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve intricate problems in distributed systems and mitigate technical debt
- Experience with Linux systems, networking, distributed filesystems, and SQL/ORMs
