Job Summary
Own and be accountable for the design, development, and operation of new product features for Splunk's Security UEBA solution. Lead team design and architectural discussions while building reliable, scalable, and high-performance applications in Python and React. Debug and resolve customer-reported issues, participating in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews to ensure service reliability. Mentor junior team members with a focus on their career growth and integrate new technologies into the team's workflow. This role requires 8+ years of experience and includes an on-call shift schedule up to 20% of time.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience
- technical Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years with Master's
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Java
- solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Expertise in SQL
- key-value stores (Redis)
- search/analytics platforms (Elasticsearch, Splunk)
- Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
- containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Skilled in system monitoring, telemetry, log management
- leveraging AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate development
- Proven track record of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in frontend programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript and React
