Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer (Tech Lead) for Rakuten Advertising's Ad Product Section within the Global Ad Technology Supervisory Department. The role focuses on owning and driving development across the product lifecycle, collaborating with PMs, architects, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust software solutions. Core responsibilities include requirement translation, system design, coding, code review, unit testing, deployment and rollback across DEV/STG/PROD, and ongoing maintenance. The candidate will work with cross-cultural teams across Tokyo, Singapore, India, and China, and will contribute to technical roadmaps and future product needs. Required qualifications emphasize extensive hands-on software development experience, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Agile/SCRUM experience, effective communication, ownership, and the ability to perform under pressure. Key technical skills include Java Spring Boot, MySQL, MongoDB, GCS/BigQuery/Dataproc, Kafka, Git, Jira, and experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and CI/CD tooling; additional desirable qualifications cover Big Data ecosystems, additional NoSQL options, testing automation, and data-pipeline/system-architecture experience.

- More than 7 years of hands-on software development experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong technical design and implementation skill
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
- Complete and hands-on experience of Agile development and SCRUM
