Job Summary
Senior Software engineer in Hong Kong within the Equity Derivatives Quoting stream. Work as part of a global development team to build and support latency-sensitive electronic trading applications, collaborating closely with front-office users to translate business and regulatory requirements into innovative Java-based solutions. Responsibilities include overseeing projects, hands-on design and implementation of high-quality technical solutions, developing observability and incident remediation, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to engineering culture. Primary skills include extensive Java expertise and real-time trading platforms experience (Warrants, Listed Options, Futures, Market Making and market links); familiarity with front-office environments; ability to juggle multiple tasks; and knowledge of AI tooling and integration into workflows. The role emphasizes delivering scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant solutions while aligning with global teams, and involves 3 days per week in the office. Required Qualifications
- Must Have: Java
- Domain Expertise in trading platforms (Warrants / Listed Options / Futures / Market Making & specifics of market links)
- Experience in a front-office environment
- 8+ years in a similar position or domain
- Familiarity with real-time trading platforms
- Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with business users
- Ability to design, develop, and support front-office trading applications
- Comfort with AI tooling and integrating AI into workflows (e.g., prompt engineering, generative AI platforms) would be highly desirable
- Ready to work from office (3 days/week)
