Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer III role within a collaborative software engineering department. Responsible for implementing complex algorithms in C#, assisting team lead with story creation, sprint planning, estimations, code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and reporting daily statuses. Essential duties include developing novel algorithm implementations, designing algorithms from requirements, debugging and fixing issues, contributing to system design, participating in peer reviews, applying CS and engineering concepts, supporting the full software development lifecycle, and documenting design and test artifacts. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field, 5+ years of hands-on experience in C#, SDLC, Agile (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe), version control (Git/SVN), mentoring, Docker, full-stack development, Atlassian tools, Linux (Ubuntu/Oracle), and familiarity with Blazor/.NET 6+; strong networking knowledge. Travel up to 10% may be required. Location: Melbourne, FL, US. Citizenship: US.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience reviewing, testing, and evaluating source code
- 5+ years’ experience developing in C# or similar (Java)
- 5+ years’ experience in the SDLC
- 5+ years’ experience with Agile development methodologies
- 5+ years’ experience with major version control systems
- 3+ years’ experience mentoring junior software engineers
- 3+ years’ experience with Docker
- 3+ years’ experience in full stack web development
- 3+ years’ experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
- 3+ years’ experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Oracle)
- Experience with Blazor and .NET 6 or higher is a plus
- Must understand networking and networking protocols
