Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer - Simulation & Training on-site in Sterling, VA, leading design, development, integration, and testing of cross-functional, multi-threaded software for high-fidelity simulators and training systems. Responsible for delivering maintainable code (C++, C#) with interfaces to databases, and contributing to software requirements, test plans, and user guides. Travel to domestic and international customer sites for training events and product installations. Preferred experience with Windows (WPF), Linux, DevSecOps, Agile methodologies, and toolchains (GitLab/SVN, JIRA/Confluence/Crucible/Bamboo). Requires ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance (Secret). Position emphasizes collaboration on proposals, cost/schedule/technical decisions, and leadership potential within agile teams.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance or higher is required prior to start date.
