Job Summary
Senior Platform Engineer on Quantifind's Platform Team, focusing on the Apache Spark batch infrastructure to generate risk signals from diverse data sources (e.g., sanctions, PEP records, negative news, court/arrest records). You will help design and deliver data services and ML infrastructure, work with a cross-functional team (Data Scientists, DevOps, Front-end, Product Managers), and build scalable microservices in a JVM environment. The role emphasizes writing clean, performant code for distributed systems, with experience in Scala and/or Java, Spark, HDFS, Iceberg, Airflow, and ETL pipelines, plus knowledge of ML techniques and data processing in a financial-crimes context. The position is full-time, based in Palo Alto, CA with a hybrid work arrangement (in-office and remote touchpoints).
