Job Summary
SimIS Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead software development for simulation systems, mentor junior developers, and manage complex integration projects, requiring significant experience in software development and military simulation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Must meet DOD 8570 requirements for Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
- SECRET clearance
- Eight (8) years of software development experience with leadership responsibilities
- Experience with simulation software development and real-time systems
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages including C++, Java, Python, C# (.NET) and other scripting languages
- Experience with software integration, testing, and deployment in complex environments
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Familiarity with U.S. Navy military training systems and combat system simulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with military simulation protocols and standards
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with government reporting requirements and CDRL deliverables
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes
