Job Summary
Build complex Ruby on Rails applications and server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface. Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle by writing well-designed, testable, efficient code while evaluating system improvements and proposing architectural alternatives. Collaborate with UI, connectivity, and DevOps teams to solve complex problems using PostgreSQL and Redis-based caching. Support continuous improvement by investigating new technologies for architectural review. This role requires 7+ years of Rails experience, a BS/MS in CS, and strong debugging skills within Workato's enterprise infrastructure platform.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- 7+ years of experience developing, shipping and maintaining Rails applications.
- Strong knowledge of Ruby.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
- Experience with relational database systems (PostgreSQL) and Redis-based / Memcached caching.
Desired Qualifications
- Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
