Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer to join the Roku team. You will write client-side code for streaming applications, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, participate in code reviews and releases, read and write technical documentation, and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams. Required: 5+ years of software development/release experience; JavaScript or Python; experience with streaming devices; Git; strong communication. Nice-to-have: BrightScript and SceneGraph; Roku platform experience. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining streaming products used by millions of daily users across TV and connected devices, with emphasis on collaboration and a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and releasing software products/services
- Proficiency in client-side scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python
- Experience with streaming devices (Roku, FireTV, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with Git/version control
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to read/write technical documentation
- Collaborative experience with cross-functional teams
