Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and enhance FalconX's proprietary risk management tools, infrastructure, and processes. Architect and build scalable, robust, performant risk solutions for institutional customers and internal teams. Work closely with the risk team to develop and improve the risk management stack, while coaching and mentoring teammates on supporting these solutions. Manage risk data and processes across spot and derivative instruments for a firm processing over $1T+ in trading volume. Apply intuitive, analytical thinking to ensure speed, accuracy, and reliability in distributed architectures using Python, Linux, and AWS.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, EE, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent fields
- Professional experience (at least 4 years) in a quant risk role
- Experience in risk management in a trading environment (hedge fund or bank)
- Knowledge of a range of financial products and experience with a variety of derivatives asset classes
- Extensive experience with software engineering, object-oriented coding design and complex, distributed architectures
- Comfortable working with Linux/AWS environments
- Python programming experience with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Proactive, strong sense of ownership with the ability to partner and build alignment with our risk, product and engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
