Job Summary
Architect and ship commercially available APIs and data feeds in Node/TypeScript, build interactive user interfaces and data visualizations with React, and manage infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security. Collaborate with product and data analytics teams to establish coding, testing, and deployment standards while troubleshooting complex production issues. Work directly with the founding team to define technical strategy and product roadmap, owning full-stack features end-to-end in a lean environment. This role requires 5+ years of experience with strong backend, SQL optimization, and frontend skills, including fluency with AI models and agentic coding tools. Full-time, in-person in New York City Mon-Weds, remote Thurs-Fri. Join a small team building an AI-native primary intelligence platform for enterprises, automating expert research workflows to deliver quantified, time-series outputs on thousands of companies.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience building software
- Strong backend development skills
- Experience with Node/TypeScript and frameworks like Express.js
- Strong SQL optimization skills
- Proficient with frontend technologies
- Fluent with AI models and agentic coding tools
- High ownership, low ego
- Must be able to work independently, communicate proactively, and not wait to be told what to build
- Must be comfortable making architecture decisions and defending them in code review
- Must be available for in-person work in New York City Mon-Weds
- Must be available for remote work Thurs-Fri
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally some of the experience in a startup or fast-paced environment where you owned full features end-to-end, not just individual components
- Ideally React
- You've developed an MCP server
- Experience with real-time applications and/or WebSockets
- Previous experience at a startup or high-growth company where you helped define the engineering culture
- Background in financial services and/or market research
