Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer for a new AI-driven platform at Veeva, a Work Anywhere company, responsible for full feature ownership from design through deployment, production support, and maintenance. You will collaborate with Product Management and Development on technical design, apply AI-assisted productivity and engineering discipline, and mentor others while establishing engineering best practices and coding standards. The role requires 5+ years of production Python development, experience building high-scale enterprise SaaS cloud applications, open-source tooling proficiency (Python, Git, FastAPI, Pydantic), and strong communication abilities. You will contribute to a fast-paced environment with live customers within the life sciences domain, helping drive a scalable, innovative product from the ground up.
Required Qualifications
- Seasoned Software Engineer: 5+ years of proven software development expertise (Production level Python development required)
- Enterprise SaaS Leader: Extensive experience developing high-scale enterprise SaaS cloud applications
- Scalability Expert: Proven track record of architecting and building high-volume products at scale
- Open Source Proficiency: Hands-on development experience with current open-source tools and technologies, including Python, Git, FastAPI, Pydantic
- Fast-Paced Adaptability: Highly driven and flexible, enjoys a fast-paced start-up environment, and believes in having fun along the way
- Mentorship: Proven ability to mentor and elevate team performance, fostering growth and excellence

- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills: Engineering is not all about the code, it’s also about communication
