Job Summary
Support the design and scaling of high-throughput services powering first and last-mile operations for a major European e-commerce platform. Leverage network analysis and spatial optimization to build the next generation of the Delivery Optimization Engine, directly enhancing logistics efficiency. Develop backend microservices using Python, SQL, and modern routing APIs while managing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform with Kubernetes and Terraform. Apply geospatial data concepts including H3 indexing, clustering algorithms, and PostGIS to solve vehicle routing problems. Advocate for engineering excellence through clean code, TDD, and rigorous code reviews to maintain architectural stability. Requires at least four years of commercial Python experience, strong logistics domain knowledge, and the ability to work from the Warsaw office once a month.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of commercial experience in backend software development using Python and SQL
- Possess experience or a strong understanding of the logistics domain, network analysis, and routing (e.g., graph theory, road network modeling, Vehicle Routing Problems)
- Experience with geospatial data concepts applied via code (e.g., H3/spatial indexing, clustering algorithms, PostGIS)
- Be familiar with cloud ecosystems (Google Cloud Platform preferred) and modern infrastructure tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow)
- A positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and a higher technical education (Computer Science or related fields)
- English level min. B2+
- Required to work from the Warsaw office once a month
