Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer focused on Python connectors and the data ecosystem. Own and evolve ClickHouse's Python connector and SDK ecosystem, build integrations with orchestration and transformation tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, dbt), and drive AI/LLM integration strategy for RAG architectures and feature pipelines. Engage with the open-source community, align with product and cloud teams, and contribute to roadmap decisions based on real-world Data Engineer and Data Scientist workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations for at least one major platform (orchestration, BI, MLOps, or data transformation)
- Experience applying AI/ML in production data-engineering contexts (embedding generation, vector search, feature pipelines, or LLM-powered tooling)
- Solid experience with the Python data ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic)
- Strong database fundamentals (SQL, data modeling, query optimization, OLAP/analytical databases)
- Experience with concurrent Python (threading, multiprocessing, async)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaboration with open-source communities
