Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer leading the design, development, and maintenance of hardened public cloud images and related automation. Responsibilities include building and maintaining automated pipelines for image creation, testing, and distribution across AWS, GCP, and Azure; developing core image capabilities such as security hardening, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and release automation using Packer, Python, and Go; utilizing Ansible and Salt for configuration management; mentoring engineers on image security and cloud infrastructure; influencing platform architecture and image pipeline direction; collaborating across teams to ensure consistent image quality and compatibility.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or BSc in computer science or equivalent industry experience
- Senior Software Engineer experience
- Strong background in public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with immutable infrastructure/VM images (Packer)
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go
- Experience with Docker and container images
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Linux production environments
- On-call rotation experience
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
