Job Summary
Design modern cloud-native infrastructure using Elixir, Phoenix, and Python to rebuild hospital information systems from scratch. Develop fine-grained access control systems for clinical data and architect integration engines connecting ventilators, monitors, and imaging equipment in real time. Reconfigure data workflows between nurses, doctors, and administrators to replace click-heavy interfaces with intuitive experiences. Manage rolling deployments, failover strategies, and real-time data sync to ensure 24/7 uptime for critical care environments. Work onsite three days a week in a fast-paced team tackling novel engineering challenges with a focus on clean, robust code and first-principles thinking.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency with object oriented and functional programming
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Intellectually curious with a growth mindset
- Experience building 0-1 with a strong product sense
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to articulate technical decisions, trade-offs, and best practices
- Expectation of working onsite three days a week
- Familiarity with open-source technology
