Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer responsible for defining, analyzing, and resolving complex customer escalations using AI-assisted debugging tools for log analysis, root cause identification, and defect diagnosis; delivering end-to-end production code fixes from defect confirmation through AI-assisted patch development, automated test generation, code review, and release validation; updating customers and stakeholders; contributing to knowledge base content and product documentation; collaborating with teammates and mentoring others; requires strong experience in Java/J2EE, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, databases, and security scanning practices; ability to navigate large codebases with AI tools and to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment; pager-based after-hours coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency with Java/J2EE technologies
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools for debugging and development
- Experience delivering end-to-end production code fixes
- Experience with debugging, log analysis, and root cause identification
- Experience with CI/CD (Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM Cloud)
- Database experience (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, MySQL)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read and navigate large codebases using AI tools
- Experience with security scanning (static & dynamic)
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- willingness for after-hours pager rotation
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Proficiency with Java/J2EE (Servlets, MDB, Jax-RS, JMS, JNDI, JUnit)
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) for debugging and root cause analysis
- Experience with log analysis, defect diagnosis, and end-to-end production code fixes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM Cloud)
- Database experience (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, MySQL)
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to navigate large codebases quickly using AI tools
- Familiarity with security scanning (static & dynamic)
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Willingness for after-hour/weekend pager rotation
