Senior Software Engineer, Planning (Robotics)

Job Summary

Design global routing, decision, and motion planning systems that balance safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort across open roads, semi-enclosed zones, and unstructured indoor environments. Develop and deploy algorithms for lattice-based, DP/QP, and hybrid A* methods, including longitudinal-lateral joint planning and game-theoretic decision-making in interactive scenarios. Debug issues in simulation and real-world testing, quantify post-release performance, and build data-driven end-to-end planning solutions with expanded automated test coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate iterations in complex logistics scenarios and contribute to data闭环 construction.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or Vehicle Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in planning algorithm R&D in the autonomous driving or robotics field
  • Solid C++ programming ability
  • Proficiency in Python and Linux
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 or Apollo/Autoware
  • Mastery of classic decision and planning methods (such as Lattice, DP/QP, Hybrid A*, POMDP class methods)
  • Experience with real-world longitudinal and lateral joint planning
  • 3+ years of experience with game theory or decision planning in interactive environments
  • Familiarity with imitation learning and reinforcement learning planning-related machine learning methods
  • Innovation ability to address real-world constraints
  • Familiarity with hierarchical autonomous driving planning stacks
  • Understanding of the impact of upstream modules on planning and trajectory quality assessment methods
  • Proficiency in using CARLA, NVIDIA Isaac (including Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab) or similar platforms for algorithm verification
  • Ability to debug on real vehicles and analyze logs
  • Ability to use AI tools and systems to improve work efficiency and drive innovation

Desired Qualifications

  • Published papers in top-tier conferences or journals such as ICRA, IROS, IV, or CVPR
  • Experience successfully deploying end-to-end planning solutions to actual products or field testing
