Design and deliver scalable backend services for Veeva Ostro's SaaS platform by architecting high-performance APIs and optimizing database performance. Partner cross-functionally to design and ship new features while providing technical feedback on product roadmaps. Champion quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and clean architecture to minimize technical debt. Troubleshoot and resolve live system issues to maximize uptime while evaluating emerging backend technologies. Requires 5+ years of Python and Django expertise with PostgreSQL proficiency. Base pay ranges from $130,000 to $225,000 CAD.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production code for B2B or B2C SaaS products
- 5+ years of deep expertise in Python and frameworks like Django
- Strong proficiency with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
