Job Summary
Design and deliver scalable backend services powering Veeva Ostro's SaaS platform by architecting high-performance APIs and optimizing application and database performance. Partner cross-functionally to design and ship new features while providing technical feedback on product roadmaps. Champion quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and clean architecture, and evaluate emerging backend technologies to improve engineering practices. Troubleshoot and resolve live system issues to maximize uptime, balancing high-velocity delivery with long-term code health.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production code for B2B or B2C SaaS products
- 5+ years of deep expertise in Python and frameworks like Django
- Strong proficiency with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
