Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer at NexHealth responsible for building and scaling real-time bidirectional integrations with dozens of EHRs, expanding a real-time data processing/storage layer from terabytes to petabytes, and driving 100x growth across practices, patients, and developers. Role includes owning cross-functional projects end-to-end, collaborating with engineering leaders and product managers to set and deliver ambitious engineering goals, and contributing to core systems improvements. Brings deep experience in backend systems, cloud-native services (AWS), Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, DevOps practices, and a strong emphasis on quality and security engineering to ensure reliable, scalable healthcare data integrations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- experience building scalable back-end systems and platforms
- experience integrating and scaling storage systems, cloud-native services, and open source projects (Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL)
- knowledge of DevOps tools and practices
- strong quality and security engineering principles
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) or equivalent hands-on experience
