Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer for Mid-Office systems at BlockTech. Own and evolve position, PnL, and instrument data pipelines across multiple exchanges and asset classes; architect real-time services to handle throughput and reliability for trading, hedging, and data flows; lead end-to-end venue integrations including protocol, settlement, reconciliation, and surveillance; model the instrument universe with lifecycle, margins, and fast-path quoting; build self-healing mechanisms to detect and repair position discrepancies; deliver comprehensive reporting for internal stakeholders and regulators; mentor junior engineers and influence technical direction; enjoy a full-time role in Amsterdam with a relocation package and a competitive compensation plan.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience
- experience designing and operating production systems with correctness and reliability as non-negotiables
- proficiency across Rust, Python, and data pipelines
- experience building low-latency, high-throughput, or distributed systems
- experience with Grafana & PostgreSQL
- strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
- excellent written and verbal English communication skills
