Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer (Medical Device) in Newark, DE who will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for breast and skeletal health devices. Role involves leading technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with Product Management and Domain Experts, and contributing to documentation. Technologies include C#, WPF, .NET, Java, Android, and a mix of front-end/back-end full-stack work. Emphasis on high quality software, Agile/Scrum/CI processes, and driving product usability and reliability for clinical/internal users. Hybrid onsite/work arrangement preferred for the right candidate. Requirements include advanced programming skills, software architecture capability, strong debugging and testing practices, and the ability to mentor and lead a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related technical field
- 5-8 years experience for Bachelors track; 4-6 years for Masters track (per posting)
- Strong programming skills in .NET/C#, C++, Java or similar
- Experience with C#/WPF/.NET and full-stack development
- Experience mentoring and leading engineers
- Experience with Agile/Scrum/CI
- Familiarity with secure coding principles
- Medical device domain experience preferred
- Knowledge of DICOM/HL7 is a plus
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and ability to document software designs
- Ability to design and architect complex software systems
- Experience with testing, code reviews, and QA collaboration
