Job Summary
Architect and implement highly scalable server-side microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript, ensuring optimal interaction with the broader Symphony ecosystem. Drive and evolve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment strategies, keeping Jenkins at the center of automation pipelines. Investigate complex production issues, document failure analyses, and lead root cause analyses to improve platform resilience. Partner with product management to define technical requirements and collaborate across engineering teams for seamless integrations. Mentor junior and mid-level developers through constructive design sessions and code reviews to elevate engineering standards. Join the Market Voice and Video team to own robust, scalable backend systems while challenging the status quo and taking full accountability for deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of practical, hands-on experience in production software development
- Deep, expert-level proficiency in Java and its ecosystem
- extensive experience building enterprise microservices using the Spring Framework (Spring Boot)
- Professional experience writing clean, scalable backend code in TypeScript (e.g., Node.js ecosystem)
- Strong experience working with containerization, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- specifically Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Terraform, Git, and Jenkins
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability services within GCP and/or AWS cloud environments
- Exceptional proactive communication skills

Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience working with WebRTC, media streaming backend services, or audio/video protocols
- Ability to read and understand basic C++
- Knowledge of the SIP and RTP protocols
- Core understanding of Session Border Controllers (SBC), Media conference servers, and Selective Forwarding Units (SFU)
