Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer for Mastercard's Send S3 Team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend applications using Java, Spring, and Hibernate. Contribute to development of APIs and web services powering payment and transaction systems. Apply strong object-oriented design principles to build scalable solutions, and collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into design. Work in a fast-paced Agile environment, assist in evaluating and deploying new technologies, and support integration, testing, and deployment activities across the SDLC. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across applications and environments, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives; experience with production-ready, scalable backend systems is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing applications using Java / J2EE with strong object-oriented programming
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred)
- Solid working knowledge of Hibernate / ORM frameworks
- Experience working with web services (REST or WSDL-first / top-down approaches)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Proven ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team
