Senior Software Engineer - Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer responsible for defining and implementing systems that enable Software Defined Manufacturing across factory sites, owning features end-to-end from design to deployment, mentoring junior engineers, and leading small cross-functional initiatives. You will work on Shopkeeper, the Assembly Dashboard, Metrics and Reporting, and the infrastructure linking the factory floor to the cloud, writing clean code across backend and infrastructure, and collaborating with product, hardware, and operations teams to drive scalable MES solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficiency in at least two frameworks, languages, or technologies in our stack (Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, Vue, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes)
- Demonstrated ability to independently design and ship features in a production environment
- Experience conducting code reviews and contributing to engineering standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Track record of working effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (product, ops, or hardware teams)
- Experience with MES, factory automation, or industrial software (preferred)
