Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer on the Admin Experience team designing and delivering secure, well-tested features across a TypeScript/Node.js backend and React frontend. Build API-first infrastructure powering partner insurance integrations, and develop AI-powered features using Claude and Gemini, including LLM-driven claims automation and OPS tooling. Design agentic, multi-step workflows orchestrating AI components across claims, support, and partner onboarding. Work end-to-end with PostgreSQL, Redis, DocumentDB, Kafka, and AWS; collaborate with Product, Platform Engineering, Finance, and Operations to turn business requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions. Drive improvements in quality, performance, and security within a regulated environment (BaFin, DORA, EU compliance). Hybrid work model in Berlin with industry-leading perks.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Software Engineer
- Strong command of TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or similar)
- Familiarity with AI-native development patterns (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, tool/function calling, agentic orchestration)
- Comfort with AI reliability and production observability
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, DocumentDB; Kafka or similar
- AWS, Docker, CI/CD
- Solid understanding of DDD, SOLID
- Experience with unit/integration/contract tests
- Experience in fintech/insurtech/payments/banking domains
- English fluency
