Job Summary
Own the full lifecycle of a product system, from architectural design through production deployment and long-term maintenance. Lead a small, autonomous pod to deliver features using React, TypeScript, and microservices on AWS, while managing infrastructure as code with Terraform. Enforce clean architecture, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and performance. Collaborate with data scientists and product owners to define behavior via Gherkin/BDD before building, applying TDD and XP practices where pragmatic. Work within a regulated environment requiring strategic judgment for long-term system health.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English and French
- 7 years+ post-graduate commercial experience
- current permission to work in France unrestricted
- Deep competence in React and TypeScript on the frontend
- robust backend experience in Microservices and API design
- Extensive, production-hardened experience with AWS
- use Terraform to manage infrastructure
- implemented Clean or Hexagonal Architecture in real systems
- prioritize observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) as a core part of your workflow
- champion of Trunk-based development
- own your CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent)
- use Gherkin/BDD to define behavior before we build
- ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-engineers
- follow DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time, etc.)
- value TDD and XP practices
