Job Summary
Design, develop, and release scalable Java backend applications that enhance customer learning and engagement experiences. Translate high-level architectural concepts into detailed technical designs and build robust, maintainable software solutions using C#/.NET, microservices, and cloud-native technologies. Serve as a technical leader by mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving continuous improvement in engineering practices and deployment pipelines. Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, and SRE to deliver business value and support production environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven experience serving as a technical lead or senior engineer within a software engineering team
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET development
- Expert understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture, and system design
- Experience building and consuming web APIs and microservices-based architectures
- Experience working with cloud-based services and containerization technologies such as Docker
- Strong knowledge of relational and/or non-relational database technologies
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with automated testing and test-driven development (TDD)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
