Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, highly performant, real-time advertising applications while owning feature development and collaborating directly with product and engineering teams. Deliver top-quality software in a timely fashion, demonstrate strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, and evangelize best practices and platform innovation across developers, QA, and infrastructure. Work alongside a skilled team to build a scalable, available platform supporting Roku's expanding ad business, applying critical thinking and results-oriented decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience building large scale and low latency distributed systems
- Command of Java or C++
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and real-time programming
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Self-motivated individual with a high level of accountability and ownership
- Critical thinking and practical decision making
- Can do, results-oriented mindset
- Nonpolitical, collaborative, and team oriented
- Desire to win in a highly competitive industry
- AI growth mindset / AI Literacy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with distributed caching, SQL/NO SQL, and other databases
