Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer role focused on mission analytics and automation within a production BI platform. Own maintenance and incremental advancement of a mission-essential BI platform, apply site reliability engineering practices to an existing environment, elicit stakeholder requirements to build analytics and reporting solutions, design and implement ETL workflows to normalize data, augment the platform with new tools and technologies to improve mission awareness, guide junior engineers and data scientists, and create clear internal/customer-facing documentation. The position emphasizes platform ownership, analytics, data engineering, and stakeholder engagement to drive long-term platform growth in a defense/mission-driven context.
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, active
- U.S. Citizenship, cannot sponsor visas
- 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor’s degree
- Strong customer service mindset
- Production-grade software development experience in Java and Python
- Experience with or familiarity with site reliability engineering principles
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization platforms and standards
- Experience productizing software as containers and deploying with Docker and Kubernetes
- Confidence with Git and GitLab for software version control
- Confidence with basic to intermediate Linux system administration tasks
- Willingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing written documentation
