Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer for Hover Inspections to build customer-facing features that aid contractors, adjusters, and insurance professionals in making faster, more informed decisions. You will help scale Hover Inspections, guide architectural evolution as the React Native components migrate toward native SDK capabilities, and collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering to solve real customer problems with intuitive, high-quality experiences. You’ll drive reliability, scalability, and developer experience, contribute to engineering excellence through thoughtful design and testing, and own projects from idea to launch and ongoing support in a fast-growing product landscape.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software at scale
- Experience developing and maintaining mobile applications using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, or similar technologies
- Full-stack development experience, including backend (Ruby on Rails or similar) or frontend/mobile (React or React Native)
- Track record of owning customer-facing features from technical design through launch and ongoing support
- Experience leading complex projects and making architectural/technical tradeoffs
- Strong product instincts and ability to translate customer needs into solutions
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions across a team
