Senior Software Engineer II - Industries

Job Summary
Develop microservices and APIs while implementing scalable, stable products that handle current capacity and future growth. Solve challenging technical problems by designing integrations between Talkdesk and external systems using APIs, middleware, and custom development to ensure data integrity and security. Work independently and in small teams within a modern agile environment featuring Git, continuous deployment, and extensive testing. Engage with Product and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet requirements, influence team growth through architectural documentation, and advocate for automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or an Engineering area
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development, especially in cloud-based applications
- Strong experience with the design and development of web applications
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience with cloud databases
- Proficiency with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot
- Deep understanding of the design and development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA, API) and Event driven Architectures
- Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with one or more storage technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch)
- Experience scaling global web applications
- Advocate for automated testing, continuous integration
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Product development
- Good written and spoken English
