Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer II at Helix responsible for leading projects from scoping through implementation with a focus on impact for business and users. Drive AI-assisted development by delegating tasks to AI agents, evaluating AI-generated output for production readiness, and championing new AI tools and workflows. Design and implement genomic applications and services with attention to reliability, testing, and full lifecycle considerations; own services and mentor engineers while collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, science, and leadership to advance outcomes. Travel to the US for collaboration is available; the role emphasizes building scalable, compliant software in a regulated environment and adopting modern tooling, infrastructure-as-code, and data-quality practices.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue.js, or similar.
- Familiarity with regulated software systems in any industry (e.g., HIPAA, ISO, FDA).
- Familiarity and experience developing and architecting event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AWS technologies and serverless infrastructure.
