Job Summary
Senior IC4 role leading the design, development, and delivery of a multi-tenant agent platform on DigitalOcean's cloud. You will drive end-to-end architecture for the Agents control/data planes using Go, manage global state and session lifecycles, implement secure API gateways and authentication, and optimize for sub-20ms overhead. Own the developer interface and real-time telemetry delivery, mentor junior engineers, ensure high-scale reliability (99.99% uptime) via observability and SLOs, and collaborate across Product, customer-facing teams, and other engineering groups. The position emphasizes distributed systems, AI/LLM integration, agentic workloads, Kubernetes/Nomad-based orchestration, and building developer-focused APIs/SDKs with a strong emphasis on latency and developer workflows. This role is located in Hyderabad, India, and is tagged as #LI-Hybrid.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Go or similar backend languages
- Experience building large-scale SaaS/PaaS products
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems and multi-tenant architectures
- Experience with Kubernetes or Nomad, and service meshes
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Experience with high-throughput APIs (REST/gRPC) and proxies
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and agentic workloads
- Experience with telemetry, observability, and SLO design
- Developers-facing product design experience (APIs/SDKs/Cloud consoles)
- Knowledge of HITL workflows and real-time data streaming (Kafka, SSE)
