Senior Software Engineer I

Senior Software Engineer I (Backend) for SurveyMonkey, based in Canada with the User team responsible for Authentication & Authorization and backend services for user accounts and teams. Build and maintain user and team management services across data-regions; contribute to the core authorization platform; support and improve authentication workflows; collaborate across frontend and backend teams; write clean, maintainable code; participate in code reviews and mentorship. Requires 5+ years of backend development, Python with FastAPI/Flask/Pyramid, REST APIs, Git, knowledge of SSO (SAML, OIDC), experience with building world-class services and APIs, and ability to work with co-located and remote engineers. Hybrid work model with Ottawa office up to 1 day per week; primarily remote.
