Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer I for the Member Growth, Care Guide Experience team at Spring Health. Design and build scalable full-stack AI-powered features using Python, Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL to improve how members discover and engage with care. Lead delivery of complex projects, participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and system planning, and advocate for high engineering standards (testing, documentation, observability). Collaborate across time zones with distributed teams, own technical delivery for subsystems, and contribute to a scalable, reliable member experience in a hybrid NYC office setting (2–3 days/week) with potential travel for team on-sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on full-stack development
- Proficiency in Python, Ruby on Rails, or React
- Ability to independently lead delivery of complex technical projects
- Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable system architecture
- Familiarity with observability and experimentation tools (Datadog, LaunchDarkly, Sentry, Mixpanel, Iterable)
- Bonus: Experience with LangGraph, LangSmith, or AI/ML
- Background in healthcare or regulated environments
