Job Summary
Senior Engineer on Braze's Frontend Infrastructure & Experience (FIX) team builds foundational frontend systems, components, tooling, and patterns used by engineers across Braze. You will lead large projects end-to-end—from technical design to rollout—improve developer experience in a large TypeScript/React codebase, and build customer-facing experiences that are polished, accessible, and performant. You will mentor other engineers via code reviews and pairing, contribute to the design system and design/system-driven tooling, and work with product/design/infrastructure teams to solve cross-cutting frontend problems. Recent work includes frameworks for editors, navigation/routing in a fully React-based system, expanding the design system with semantic tokens, and building type-safe scaffolding and API tooling. Technologies include TypeScript, React, Cypress, Jest, Ruby on Rails, frontend build tooling, and accessibility/localization considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong frontend development skills with TypeScript and React
- Experience building reusable frontend systems, components, tools, or infrastructure
- Ability to design, implement, test, and roll out frontend projects end-to-end
- Experience mentoring other engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Clear communication and collaboration across teams
